Davida's Salon

A colleague of mine was making calls to ask local businesses if they would be interested in putting an ad in our playbill for a stage play we are performing on 11/15 and 11/16. Before she could even finish her speech, these people hung up on her. Now don't get me wrong: no one OWES us anything. My complaint is not that they didn't fork over their money; my complaint is that they were downright RUDE.

Val is the greatest! All the stylists here are super friendly and do amazing work! Highly recommend!

My soon to be mother in law let me know a bit last minute that she wanted to get her hair done before the wedding. I called and was able to squeeze her in for a last minute appointment. They were so gracious and did a wonderful job with her hair! Last minute wedding crisis averted bc of this place, so very grateful and therefore, I highly recommend!

Google asked if I used this business before I started to leave this review. Well, I TRIED to use this business. In Oct 2022 I emailed Davida using the "contact us" email address on the website saying that I just moved to Troy and wanted to try Davida's but had questions about appointment availability in November. I never heard back. I decided to try again in May 2023 and made an appointment online with Davida for 11:00. I arrived a few minutes early and Davida wasn't there. I waited until 11:10 and left the salon. The stylist who was there tried to text her but no response. Apparently when you make an online appointment, you can choose a day and a time, but it's not confirmed until you get an email. I made another appointment after this to see what might have been the problem and saw this

Davida's is amazing! I called last minute for a cut and color. Vinnie fit me in. They were honest. What I wanted just wasn't going to work. The atmosphere was great. Davida and Vinnie were great! My hair was completely damaged and I walked out with a new cut and color and I absolutely love it! My hair is lighter with volume and more healthy. I won't be going anywhere else.
