Day Spa Rejoice

If I could give a rating of zero stars, I would. A few weeks ago, my father visited Rejoice Day Spa for the first time, anticipating a deep tissue massage to help him relax after a stressful week. Upon arrival, he was greeted by the owner, Stephanie, who informed him she would be performing the service. Once he removed his clothing and got on the massage table, Stephanie began making repeated comments about how he needed to lose weight and be more active due to his limited movement. These remarks continued throughout the entire session, leaving him extremely uncomfortable. What should have been a restorative experience turned into one of ridicule and shame — to the point where my father was nearly in tears. Was in town for a wedding and Stephanie was able to work me in and man was it worth it! I left with the best massage experience I’ve ever had! I might just plan on coming back every time I’m in town!

This establishment and its staff (including owner) are a dime a dozen! It’s always a challenge, finding an impactful massage therapist. Not only are they receptive to what you share as it pertains to what hurts etc. But, they also “read” and listen to your body as you undergo your session. For decades, I’ve always gotten deep tissue massages. As a mother, long time prior gymnast, multiple failed back surgery patient and veteran- my body continues to require therapeutic relief. My FIRST time going into to see Stephanie (owner) for a deep tissue massage- she navigated throughout my tender spots etc and immediately identified that my body needed a medical massage. First time here! Best, most painful massage I've ever had...lol. Seriously though, Stephanie knows what she's doing! Massaging over 40yrs, she just looked at me and barely touched me and knew what issues my body had and why. Medical massage with cupping, acupuncture, ice compress, I mean nowhere can you get all that in a 1hr session! And yea it hurt at first because I have bad knots but I walked out feeling the best I have ever felt after a massage...and I've had a lot of massages! Great customer service and Christian business! The prices are great as well! I will definitely be back, no question at all!

Stephanie gives an excellent massage. My three star ranking reflects the fact that her professionalism is lacking in some areas. She pointed out my acne, something I’m sensitive about and gave unsolicited advice about it and religion. I’m good on all of that when I want to go somewhere to relax. If this doesn’t bother you, then go see her.
