Deborah braiding hair salon

I’m pretty sure the power was off. The only light was from the blinds. She came to the door ON THE PHONE and remained on the phone throughout my ENTIRE appointment. This was my first time meeting her. She didn’t introduce herself, when I said my name she just said hi, she didn’t even hang up while I was trying m to consult with her, she seemed agitated when I interrupted her conversation, and the quality of work just did not match the reviews. I sat there for 2hrs in this dirty back room with no ambiance, no aroma, no background sound, no interaction from the stylist, and a baby consistently whining through the phone. It was a horrible experience from start to finish. I tried to tell her how I wear my hair and ask questions and she actually said to me “you already explained that to me.” Sh

She is the best ! Very profession and fairly price. I was pleased with the results, my braids were neat and she provided great customer service. If you're looking for a good stylist in Chicago I recommend you give her a visit.

My mother and I were looking for a hair braider, my mother was searching for someone, who could do the hair style that wanted. No one, seemed to want to do it. As soon, as my mom saw the reviews for Deborah, she reached immediately out to her. And BOY! Were we ever glad that we have found her! She was more than willing to do my hair. Deborah was extraordinary! My hairstyle and braids all together are beautiful. I am receiving a lot of compliments, from family. She is patient, considerate, kind, and willing and dedicated towards doing and getting the job done. Not only, does she get the job done she is very punctual. Don’t waste your time! We agreed on a specific appointment time, and she later asked me to come an hour later — which I was fine with. I let her know ahead of time that I’d be a few minutes behind, but she didn’t respond until 5 minutes before the appointment, saying she thought I wasn’t coming. When I arrived, she told me she couldn’t do my hair because she had other plans. This should have been communicated upfront. Very unprofessional and disappointing.
