Deedee The Best African Hair Braiding

I went there on Sunday to get my hair done as a emergency. I wish I would’ve seen all the bad reviews ahead of time. I asked for two strand twist, and the stylist used the wrong texture hair. I don’t know much about hair, but the stylist knew it was the wrong hair. I should’ve spoke up in the moment , but I wanted to give the hair some time, sometimes when you first get braids they’re a little stuff, but they never loosened up. I tried calling on Tuesday to get them taken out and a partial refund& got the run around. I came to the shop today Wenesday morning & they said they can’t do anything. Terrible business. Deedee offered me a discount on my next style but this is my first and LAST time at that shop. Being desperate cost me $160 of wasted money.

Don’t believe the hype! The price is reduced because the service is compromised! Long wait times, unprofessional staff bidding for your clientele upon walking in. Prices start at $160 and everything is extra. They ask you to stop mid service to get paid - talk about you & make it very uncomfortable. It’s typical braid shop culture and behavior but it’s 2026 & I work harder than ever for my $$$ so I’m not settling for bad service just to get a service! CASH only and they watch you count it

If zero star was an option, they would have gotten it!!! left my teenager there, despite calling twice after my daughter complained they are keeping her waiting. They had her waiting for 6 hours before they started her hair. Worse this was on a school night. Took her there @1pm, she got out at 11pm..For a simple medium knotless short box braid. Awful service, especially if you are not their kind of people. They discriminate. I'd referred someone there, she told me she would never go back! She rather pay more money for better service. Another thing, seems like they guess and judge prices.....

Can’t speak for anyone else or their posts but every time I go to Deedee’s it’s a 10/10 highly recommended they do my hair for good prices and with good timing each time even if it’s one person on my head. Never really disappointed. I just took my little cousin up there and she got a better price and came out way earlier than what she’s use to. So ig I’d suggest being nice to them even tho before I even walked in the door they came out being super friendly. Yep that my experience everytime for the most besides the grove location which I’ve never gotten any service from

They treat black women horrible at the place I strongly hope we as black women find a better salon to go. The woman started my twist and she was not doing them properly I spoke up on it and she then took the braids out and walked out without anyone else helping me no explanation or nothing. The bathroom was disgusting with a big garbage can filled with feces soiled tissues which I'm sure is a health code violation. There was no soap in the bathroom so cleanliness is clearly not a priority here. Their customer service is horrible, it was not clean once I actually started to look around they have no regard for respecting their customers and one day they will learn this behavior and an unclean salon is unacceptable. If you can help it, please go somewhere else they don't care about black wom
