Diva's Hair Braiding NYC

I got my hair done for vacation by Diva and it looked beautiful. It was done in a cornrow updo that I requested, very Fine and neat. unfortunately the hair was too tight and I had to take it out when I landed at my destination. Diva was so kind and helpful when dealing with me & completely understood where I was coming from. I get my hair done here for all of my trips but her kindness during my last visit truly solidified me as a forever customer. She is such a wonderful lady. They get full fast but Book them, you won’t be disappointed !!!

I’ve only been to this salon twice and unfortunately, most likely won’t go back. I arrived at 8 AM and there were two braiders there. I showed the style that I wanted and they started going back-and-forth with how much to charge. I wanted a simple cornrow (posted) style for vacation and I would wear a half wig to cover the back of my head. I told my braider this. I came with washed, blow dried, detangled and stretched hair but she still decides to blow dry my hair and it’s passing through it like she’s trying to rip it out of my head. she then starts to part and re part my hair over and over again like she can’t figure out where to start. when she finally finishes braiding, I can immediately tell this is not what I asked for. I specifically picked this design, so there wouldn’t be too much

My hair was done really nice and the women there were sweet and kind. Although I love my hair the experience was enough for me to likely not come back. I can get this done at a similar price point somewhere much cleaner. However, big shout out to the multiple women who worked on my hair they were very kind the entire time. But the hair was to much money for them to not be able to pass a broom on the floor. I was there for 6 hours that corn was right there with me the whole six hours. And if your hair falls on the floor they pick it up and use it. Which I guess isn’t all bad but the fact that the floor is already so dirty just feels unclean. First time going there, Attention and communication was great. They all so sweet and kind. My hair was done super fast too and it looks great! ❤️❤️ definitely coming back

Decent place. I texted the phone number prior to me showing up and I was quoted $160 for stitch braids (I even sent a picture). The lady also stated that the hair was included. When I arrived, my stylist was very attentive to the parting and the style which I appreciated. And it only took me about 3 hours which was good. However when I went to pay the owner Mimi, she suddenly asked me an additional $10 for the hair which she initially said was included and honestly she didn’t really give a good reason why it was more (with stitch braids you don’t use nearly as much hair as knotless braids). I just paid the money because these women need to make a living. But I’ll definitely second guess coming back just because she didn’t stick to her word which is important So I highly suggest you confi
