Diva's Hair Salon

Usually trying any new salon sends me into a frenzy. But the superb level of customer service received at Diva's Hair Salon. For the moment I called to set up same day appointment. Then arriving and she receiving an abundance amount of care. Receptionist is wonderful! Shampooer/Assistant was the best wash I received. Then they corrected my color! He was active listening to my needs and loved my color!

I've been looking for a salon to go to since I moved to queens. I didn't want to have to go back forth to the bx just to do my hair. I found this salon on google and decided to stop by. When I got there...the salon it self is beautiful and comfortable. There was only one stylist and one customer being taken care of. I'm not gonna lie I almost left, the young lady hair she was doing just looked blah and I didn't want that issue, especially since I wanted a relaxer. I decided to stay and I'm glad I did! My hair.....came out freaking amazing! Silky smooth! I was so happy at the result that I could cry! I will definitely be going back! Also! Can I just say I did not have one chemical burn! Normally I end up with 2 or 3, but this time around...nothing! I was very satisfied!

It was Valentine's Day and my boyfriend and I were going on a date. So I went there really quick to get a nice blowout & flat iron. The lady who did my hair, wash, blown & flat iron was very nice. I have very very thick & dry hair. My hair came out very nice, better than what was expected. However, I felt like if she put rollers in my hair that it would've came out better than how it did. Also I should've gotten a texturizer. And because I didn't get that, I felt she didn't really know how to handle my hair texture. I loved the outcome of my hair although it only lasted for that one day. The next day I had to put it in a ponytail simply because it wasn't so straight anymore. I would definitely go back but with my hair texture, I feel that the process should've been done differently.

I struggled to give three stars but the young lady that blow dried my daughters and I hair was nice, and the lady that washed my hair did good. It seems like course hair is not their specialty. We came to get a wash and blow dry and flatiron. There were a couple young ladies (Hispanic) getting their hair done when we got there, their hair came out decent. My hair is pretty straight a couple of areas have more of a wave pattern, I asked for rollers and was told no because my hair would not work in rollers it was best to just flatiron (not true). I was expecting the Dominican blowout effect on my hair and let’s just say my hair was just straightened. What they didn’t know was I am a hairstylist myself but sometimes I like to be pampered and not have to do my own hair but I feel like I wasted

12/21/17 My first time at this salon and I love my outcome with my hair. I have natural afro curly hair and I went there for a blow dry and wash. I paid 30 bucks for my length which is up to my shoulders. The woman who did my hair was so gentle with me and I really appreciate that. I will return!
