Dominican Style Beauty Salon

I haven't been here in years but went today due to an emergency. I absolutely love my hair and service. Juan did a great job with my shampoo, I brought in my medicated shampoo and he used it last with no problem. The other lady did a good job with my hair eventhough it is in a short bob, I can tell she is used to clients with a little more length but she still made sure I was pleased with her work before I left. The owner Maribel is still nice and professional. I will definitely be going back in the next few weeks.

10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The customer service at this salon is terrible. From the moment I walked in, the energy was unwelcoming, and the owner’s attitude was rude and dismissive—as if customers are an inconvenience and as if this is the only salon around. Communication was poor, professionalism was lacking, and basic courtesy was missing altogether. There’s absolutely no reason to make paying customers feel uncomfortable or disrespected. There are plenty of other Dominican salons in the area that value their clients. I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service and respect.

Do not go here they will charge you for things you didn't ask for, like a deep condition, also if you ask for a cap it will not be the fitted ones they use to have. The male that rollersets will leave your natural hair out of the roller. Use to be good however things have changed and I once adored Maribel her service has gotten bad since she moved from the cuttery shop in the corner. Natural hair sisters beware and relaxed sisters becareful the stylist will take your hair out and waste your money. Martha on Decker cares for your hair 😉

I came here in hopes of finding a new Dominican hair salon, at first my hair looked really good after a wash and set. But after a few weeks, I noticed my hair wouldn’t puff up from the steam in the shower. When I went to wash my hair, my hair was coming out by the strand!!!!! In clumps !!!! I do not recommend this salon AT ALL , this has NEVER happened to me before and I am DEVASTATED seeing that I have to potentially CUT MY HAIR 🥺 worst experience ever.

They dyed my hair and over processed it! It burnt out! They were busy so they had the guy washing and dying and doing roller sets. I sat under the dryer with dye for over 45 minutes. 2 weeks later and the front of my hair where I dyed it only is brown, and BURNT off inches! I have a small patch now and I’m so irritated and pissed! I should call the STATE BOARD on this bc y’all should KNOW BETTER! I’m never coming here again!
