Dominique African Hair Braiding Salon

I went to this shop Aug 17th to get Mini Twists. This is the third time I've visited this shop and each experience my hair didn't last. I incorporated it to my hair in the growing stage. I previously had the same hair style done by another shop that lasted a month and a half (could've went longer). I took them out August 16th. Week two my hair looks 4 months old. Called to tell them and was told "I had to complain with 3 days to 1 week." They unfortunately can't do anything. I spent $200 and six hours for a 2 week hair style? I advise you to take your money elsewhere. I will be filing a claim because you don't just take customer's money and not willing to assist them or provide a resolution.

I spent $200 on SMALL FULANI LEMONADE braids. I have maybe 1- 5 inches of hair growing out a pixie Mohawk (with hair loss places) . WHEN I SAID DID that... DID IT. My box braids were done by young Mary & I'm not sure the ladies name but she's ALWAYS in the first chair and answers the phone for prices. The lady that answers the phone did those cornrows so slick with a freestyle I was happy HAPPY. I will be back especially for those two. Inspo vs results ( only reason they didn't do twist was for my hair length needs)

It’s crazy how each Dominique’s locations are different. I always go to the one on Mt.Vernon but popped in this one to get my nephews hair braided very simple style. First they didn’t even greet us upon walking in for at least a couple minutes then act like they couldn’t do the style. I’ve been in here plenty times for braids so I know how talented these ladies are so dont play me. They have gotten wayyy too high and mighty like they too good so they don’t have to worry about me stepping foot back in there. I’ve even recommended them to several people but I will never give another blessing to this place. It’s fifty million hair braiding places in Columbus I don’t have to settle for BS. Wish this place the best

I went to Dominique's on 5/7/25 to have passion twist installed. There was 3 women doing my hair. The twist turned out nice. However, I am currently in the middle of taking out the passion twist and noticed that a good amount of my hair has been CUT and MY HAIR WAS NOT SHORT. I don't understand how anyone could do this installing passion twist. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, be mindful of who you allow to put their hands in your hair. There was no need to CUT any of my hair. I truly give them a -⭐

This was the first time I’ve been here and I must say I was glad I tried them. I did take my own hair in and they took money off the price because of it. Did I understand anything they were saying to each other? No, but that did not take away from my experience. They greeted me, sat me in a chair right away, and my hair was complete in less than 3 hours with two women braiding at the same time. I will definitely be back.
