This weekend I was recommended by a friend to go to this hairsalon, it was one of the best experiences I had they were amazing super friendly and treated my hair with care , even offered coffee and always checking up on me, over all this was great my hair looks amazing and it’s so shiny.

I will say they do not know how to handle textured hair or know how to do anything other than blow dry hair straight. If you just want q basic wash and set and you have textured hair be aware that Spanish salons prefer straight or chemically relaxed hair. Yes they will talk about you if they know you're not Spanish or speak the language. Fyi this review is coming from a Spanish person with textured hair. So black women go to Spanish salons because they want to have the same look as us but they must understand that there are cultural and racial issues. If curly hair is past anything from 3c be aware that 90 percent of Spanish salons DO NOT know how to work with any type of 4 hair without complaining. Just the reality. I’ve officially stop coming here after being a customer for approximately 14 years. This salon has not been the same since Melanie left. They only cater to the Hispanic community and treat them extra friendly; meanwhile, all black customers get is overcharged and heat damage to their hair because the dryer is on the highest setting burning your hair. Dori, the owner of the salon is very kind and I have never had a negative encounter with her. The two woman that work at this establishment daily act one way when Dori is in the building and a whole other when she is not present.

First time customer at establishment, they have poor business practices. The prices change for different people. My daughter has shoulder length hair was told $45 fir wash conditioner and blow then charged $55. I can’t argue about a what a business charges, but watching them changes prices for their sub par service was a turn off. If they did an excellent job, I wouldn’t be wasting my time to review. However, the service was poor, and with a blow my daughters hair lacked the body and bounce. They suck! Only people who go here have been going there for years because they don’t want to travel for quality service.

Everyone is so friendly and caring at Doris' Beauty Salon! The staff takes great care to ensure that I, as a customer, am satisfied with my hairstyle. I always have a very positive experience when I visit this Salon and this is why I continue to go! I believe you will like it too! Give them a try!
