I’ve been seeing Kim Botner for quite a few years (around 5 years which is crazy how time flies!) and I’ve always been happy when I walk out of the salon! She’s always done a great job blending between a style and color I’d like to think would work with my thin/very fine hair and giving great advice for what will actually work for my hair that still achieves something similar to my thoughts. I’d prefer a stylist be realistic on helping me achieve a cut and color that is healthy for my hair without causing damage or breakage than someone who will just do whatever knowing it may turn out with bad results! She’s always been kind and I’ve always gotten compliments on my hair after seeing her. There have been other stylists over the years that I’ve seen at other salons before I found Kim that h
I had a wonderful experience here!!! I got my hair cut with blonde highlights from Laura. She's new and did an amazing job!! The salon was gorgeous and I felt super comfortable. Lauren was supervising and she was so friendly. I really enjoyed chatting with both of these ladies. All my friends & family loved the way my hair turned out. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to others.
If I could give fewer stars I would. On 12/23 I visited the Bridgeport Dosha for Dimensional hair color and and a haircut. The Master Stylist Kim Botner, looked at the pics of what I wanted to accomplish and decided that I would need a 2 part process of all-over color followed by dimensional color and the cut. She told me I would be "settling" if I didn't get all-over color. She never asked me why I only wanted Dimensional color. She bullied me into agreeing/paying for her plan of all-over color and a cut, which is not what I made the appointment for and not what I wanted. It currently looks like a triangle bob - she messed up the layering with my curly thin hair, with all-over burgundy red color. While doing the color she was extremely abrasive with my very sensitive psoriatic scalp and
Minus 5, would be appropriate! Sept 4, 2025 I arrived 10 min early for my 9:30AM cut & color with a "Master" stylist, I had used twice before with good, not great results? When she, K, finally got around to me, at 10 or so, she seemed a bit harried and brusque, not unusual? Color proceeds, then I get sidelined to the bench, while K completes her previous client So at $370 rates, she double books and rakes in every $ possible, with no regard for client time? When they must slap on emulsifier in process of rinsing color, you know you've been over processed and the mistake is being covered? On to the cut, a fairly simple bob; where I made mistake of using a not too short or "butchy" adjective; you'd have though I dropped a F or N word? My 2 gay relatives, whom I adore; tell me I was treated
I had a terrible haircut here last week. I came in for a trim and shape up on layers on a whim on a day off from work. I thought it would be a nice afternoon of self care, but I completely regret it now. I knew going in that Summer was a new stylist, but I really didn’t think anyone could mess up long layers too bad. I was mistaken. See before and after photos. I left with choppy, uneven layers that looks so bad I won’t wear my hair down until this is corrected. The more I look at the cut the more confused I am. Their no refund policy is disappointing; there is no way I’m going back to the same stylist to try to correct this horrible cut nor am I going to pay more to have someone else here try. I will go to my normal stylist who I trust, which is what I should have done in the first place.
