Drybar - Edina

I love it here. I’ve seen it for probably years and finally made an appointment in October and LOVED it. Made another appointment today since my birthday is in a couple days and I needed a lil self care day. Now I’m obsessed. Blown away maybe?! Such a fun vibe, my hair has always looks on point and stayed that way for a good while. Normally it never can do that! Definitely will keep going when I can! (Tip is included in my price range)

I get my hair blown out often, so I know what a good blowout should be and this was not it. My hair smelled burnt when I left, which tells me either no heat protectant was used or not nearly enough. The stylist held the hot tool on my hair way too long, and I could literally feel the heat damaging my ends. To make things worse, I noticed exposed wires on the styling tools, which is really unsafe and unprofessional for any salon, especially one that’s supposed to specialize in blowouts. This was a disappointing experience overall, and I definitely won’t be coming back. I hope management takes this seriously and makes sure their tools and training are up to standard. *EDIT* added photo of my hair of less than 2 hours later. My hair always holds curl well. So unbelievably disappointed. Came in to get a normal bouncy blow out and was given this. No curls, so much hair spray I can’t even run my fingers through my hair. Please save your $60 and do your hair yourself. I promise it will turn out better then dry bar.

I always look forward to my visits at Drybar Edina, thanks to the amazing Joanie and Madi! Joanie is truly a professional. She's always on time, listens carefully to how I’d like my hair styled, and consistently delivers a beautiful blowout every single time. My hair always looks exactly the way I want it when I leave. Madi, who answers the phone and greets me when I arrive, is equally wonderful. She’s friendly, welcoming, and always goes the extra mile to make scheduling easy. Joanie and Madi make the entire Drybar experience exceptional — I highly recommend them both!

I came in with a guest for a scheduled blowout and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The stylist arrived late and came in with a dismissive attitude that made it feel like they didn’t want to be there. There was little to no communication from the front desk about the delay, and no one provided updates or acknowledgment while we waited. The overall atmosphere felt unprofessional — from the front desk to management to the stylists. There also seems to be constant staff turnover, which may explain the lack of coordination and communication. For a luxury service, basic organization, professionalism, and client care should be standard. The entire vibe of this location needs improvement.
