Drybar

I’ve been to this Drybar location multiple times because it’s convenient, but the punctuality is a recurring problem. At my most recent visit, I booked the first appointment of the day (9:00 AM) specifically so I could get in and out on time. Despite that, the appointment still started about 15 minutes late. Unfortunately this isn’t a one-off — on a prior visit I actually had to cancel my service after arriving because my stylist hadn’t shown up more than 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I understand occasional delays happen in a salon environment, but consistent lateness (especially for the very first appointment of the morning) makes it difficult to rely on this location when you have work or other scheduled commitments afterward. I will never book with DryBar again. I haven’t used them in several years. I had a blowout 2 months earlier for a test and the blowout was great though the locations is rundown and had no a/c on a hot August day. On this October appointment for my wedding day I showed up at 7:10 for my 7:15 appointment to find no receptionist, 1 stylist working on a client, and 3 people waiting. It took 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me when I finally learned that stylists were no shows. No answers as to when or if I might get my service. No understanding of what a predicament I was in. Finally after another 15 minutes, I saw someone else arrive and when I asked she said she would start on me. No one was in charge at this place. Horrible experience. I had a rhinoplasty last week so came in to get my hair washed and styled. Yes, I have a cast on my nose. I walked in and it was over 5 minutes before anyone verbally acknowledged that I was there but everyone had time to just stare at me including the woman at the front desk who pretended she couldn't understand my name. I'm already not feeling great and this experience almost had me in tears.

I had an appointment with Najiyah and she was absolutely amazing! She was not only quick but thorough! She handled my hair with such great care and is so incredibly skilled at what she does! I had an event to go to after my blowout and she made me look outstanding! All of the staff went above and beyond to be kind and helpful, especially the front desk staff. I almost didn’t go because of all the bad reviews. Glad I went! It’s definitely a little dirty compared to the dry bar I go to down in NC, but Hailey did a great job on my hair.
