My hair ended up looking decent but I asked for a very simple style- it ended up falling pretty quickly though. When I made my appointment online I requested an add-on service during my wash which was completely skipped. I was not asked if I had any add-ons, and clearly the stylist did not check. I didn’t realize untill I was done and was paying because he refunded me for it, but because it was happening behind me I didn’t even notice that it wasn’t done. It was also tricky to find this location since it is in the bottom floor of a hotel.

I want my money back. My girlfriend and I went here and the service she received was beyond unprofessional. She was made to wait 30mins with zero answers as to what was going on. The receptionist just kept saying “your stylist will be here soon”, no apologies from her. Zero apologies from the stylist either who didn’t even speak to my girlfriend and instead gestured for her to come into the studio. The stylist finished one side of my girlfriend’s hair and then rushed her out. The next client was greeted with “I’m so sorry for the wait! How are you today?” …. I guess we had to be in designer clothes to get some respect. Utterly disgusting and heinous treatment. Again, I want my money back.

Disappointing experience at Drybar – Thompson Central Park I booked two appointments through the Luxury Collection hotel concierge while staying at Thompson Central Park. • 24 December – My first appointment went very well. The receptionist was kind, helpful, and professional. • 26 December (between 10:55- 11:05 am) – Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing. That morning, my young daughter became very sick. Due to poor phone connection, I was unable to reach the salon to cancel or reschedule. I arrived 40 minutes late and explained the situation honestly at reception. The receptionist initially said nothing could be done. After speaking with another staff member, they said they could “cancel” but would not provide even a wash, despite the fact that my credit card was char

Manager is a crazy person. So rude. I waited 10 minutes by an empty desk to check in. Other dissatisfied customers were lined up. She gave us all attitude one by one when she showed up at the desk, finally. (The woman in front of me was double charged, and the manager refused to correct it). It was nearly 15 minutes after the start of my appt, and she then said my stylist was on break. I asked if she had someone who was supposed to start at the intended time. She argued back, cancelled my appointment, went out of her way to make it a miserable experience, even tho the very nice stylist was willing to come off break and start. He wound up being great, but DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS MANAGER. I do not say this lightly, she has anger issues and takes them out on clients.

Mediocre hairstyle but felt more like a humiliation ritual from the stylist. I didn't mind the forceful hair washing until she actually hit me in the head with the shower. I wanted a bouncy blowdry but she just blowdried my hair straight and then curled it with the curling wand. While blowdrying she kept hitting my shoulders and sometimes my head with the brush. In the end the back of my hair was curled with the wand but my front pieces she left straight. She didn t do much about it when i brought it up. It was humiliating to walk around looking like that. Went straight home to redo the front bit. I don t understand these kinds of stylists, if you hate giving blowdries and washing hair why get a job doing that? V nasty won t be coming back.
