I have super fine hair and A LOT of it. I didnt want to use the hotel shampoo and after posting about my dilemma on reddit I was sent here. I didnt make an appointment but immediately was ushered to a seat and offered water and made comfortable. They tamed my head better than I ever could. I walked out refreshed and my man told me I looked like an actress playing a version of myself in a movie 😂 . Even several hours later, walking around during quite a bit of wind (2nd pic) the styling held up. I'll be back during next visit to nola!
I don’t usually go out of my way to leave negative reviews, but this experience was far below the standard I’ve come to expect from any Dry Bar location. During my consultation, I specifically requested a dry style and clearly told my stylist, Tifini, that I preferred minimal heat. Despite this, she took me to the shampoo bowl and washed my hair for no apparent reason, splashing me multiple times to the point that she had to give me an additional towel. Once back in the chair, she began blow-drying my hair, but the result was very poorly done—honestly, I could have done a better job myself. She even asked me afterward if my hair was dry. She then started curling my hair in the wrong direction on both sides and repeatedly went over the same sections, using excessive heat and nearly frying m
I got a free blowout with the name game on Instagram. Marina did a great job. I will definitely be back! I was greeted immediately and everyone was super friendly.
I am a barfly member in Arizona and decided to get my hair done for Valentine's day. I enjoyed my experience. Everyone was kind, polite, and the salon was clean. My hair looked great when I left but it quickly became undone (curls disappeared) within the hour despite using the recommended products and not experiencing significant humidity(no rain). This was very disappointing as I went far out of my way to get my hair done professionally and within an hour it looked just like it did when I came in (flat and frizzy). For context, I have long, thick, curly hair so perhaps that texture cannot hold a style in this weather.
I love Drybar and am so happy to have one in New Orleans now. Each time I have gone the experience has been great. The salon is beautiful and the stylists are all so friendly. Lindsey does my blowouts and my hair always comes out looking and feeling amazing, and it lasts for days. Love treating myself to monthly blowouts with the membership!
