D's Barbershop - the Flats

The barber assigned to my appointment delivered a very disappointing experience. I clearly explained that my neck hair grows in opposite directions and requires careful technique. Despite this, the razor work was poorly handled, done against the grain, and continued even after I said it was painful, resulting in multiple razor burns on my neck. The service felt rushed and inattentive. The top was initially not cut at all, and when it was, it was done quickly and unevenly — the left side around the crown was clearly shorter than the right. I noticed these issues after I returned home. Overall, the technique and attention to detail were not up to professional standards.

Every customer gets very special treatment tailored to their needs. I've never seen less than two chairs full and I've seen that place a lot! Ali and his team are all such nice people. You'll get treated right every time, trust me. Very highly recommend D's Barber Shop at The Flats!

This was my first time at D’s Barbershop, and I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxed, and I felt immediately welcome as soon as I entered. Ali greeted me at the door and greeted me with professionalism. He hung up my jacket and seated me promptly. I spent about three to five minutes showing Ali the picture of the cut I wanted. It wasn’t just a simple clean-up job; he took the time to understand my preferences. He got to work immediately and saved me from missing my last cut appointment. I had missed it by a few minutes and needed it done that very day! I arrived at 6:12 p.m., but the shop closes at 6 p.m. Ali effortlessly cleaned up the mess, did the fade, lined me up, and applied a hot towel on top to clean the line with the razor. My recent experience at D’s barber at the flats was excellent! They had great customer service and the person who was cutting my hair asked me at every step how it looked to make sure it was right. She didn’t rush her work to move on to the next client she took her time which I thought was very nice. The service was still done in a timely manner. I will definitely go back.

D’s Barbershop is awesome! Ryan and Leah’s cuts are great, hot towel and razor are nice additions. Shop is always clean and professional. Only issue I’ve had is with barbers not showing up and not notifying me that they wouldn’t be there. Have made appointments, gotten there, and then my barber wasn’t there and hadn’t let me know they left. Other than that, it’s my favorite shop and the barbers there are outstanding.
