Edge Beauty Supply

The neighborhood has several beauty supply stores, but this one is closest to me and I like coming here. Edge is right by the Newkirk station on the 2/5 line. The floorplan is organized and feels very open, and even though they have a lot of merchandise, it is not too crowded to shop comfortably. There is a good selection of dyes (including bright colors and pastels), perms, styling products, natural haircare products and oils, cosmetics (including Nyx), and a great little wig/ponytail/track & braid hair section. I am usually met with a greeting as I walk in, (which is important to me bring a former retail employee myself...) and I find the service to be pleasant and easy. It's a great neighborhood shop with all the right prices.

They let me in at 6:53 PM so I could buy my hair and I was already finished by 6:58, that’s good customer service. I understand that stores in this neighborhood wanna close the store and be leaving by 7 PM, but if the store hours say 7pm they need to honor the store hours. Glad I was able to be let in!

Great selection of products! They cater to all skin and hair types.
