Eight Five Zero Salon

Hope has been cutting my hair for the past year and she has been wonderful! I have never had a haircut I have been more satisfied with. The other staff are also lovely, they always offer me a drink and when I recently had a scheduling error on my side, the staff graciously rescheduled me with no penalty. If you are someone looking for a reliable, quality salon, I would recommend Eight Five Zero every time!

I had an amazing experience with Jasmine! I absolutely love how my haircut turned out. I’m usually nervous because I have curly hair, but she listened, understood exactly what I needed, and made me feel totally comfortable. She even told me about another stylist there who had more personal experience with curls, which showed me how selfless she is. The entire staff was so welcoming and understanding of my situation. Five stars — I’ll definitely be returning!

I have to say, I used to love going here, but I feel the service quality & professionalism has really gone down hill. Up until recently, I’ve been a repeat bleach retouch client of Mal’s. Every couple of appointments (which I pre booked with her a month+ in advance) she’d cancel on me at the last minute. As a full time working professional, rescheduling is very tricky (and frustrating) as I work 40+ hours a week. One of those cancellations was right before my cousins wedding, where I had booked a retouch with her the day before I was scheduled to fly out. I get a call from the receptionist only a week before the appointment, telling me that “Mal won’t be coming in that day” even though I had prebooked this appointment 5 weeks in advance. I had to scramble to find someone else in town to

Do not go to this salon. I’ve been getting my hair done for years and needed to find a place up at school in Tallahassee so I tried going here. I had a beginner level stylist who completely botched my hair. I came in blonde asking for a light brown balayage to look more natural and left with dark brown hair with no color dimension. I called asking for it to be fixed and the stylist refused saying that she didn’t feel comfortable fixing the color, but I could come in for a free blowout. I then had to go to another salon and spend $350 fixing a mistake made by this salon. Then they refused to refund me. This has been the worst experience ever and if you can avoid this salon at all costs, please do.

I had such a great experience at 850 Salon today! As someone with natural hair, it can be really hard to find a salon that treats your hair with care—without ripping through it or leaving you feeling frustrated. But today was completely different. I was able to get my hair washed and blown out, and the whole process was gentle, professional, and honestly refreshing. Jas was amazing—she took her time, was super attentive, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. My hair feels soft, healthy, and most importantly, not stressed out from the process. I left feeling so impressed and thankful to have found a stylist And salon who gets it. Highly recommend!
