I had a great experience at Ella’s hair braiding. Ms.Ella and the other stylist are always welcoming and professional. Anytime I need my hair done she is very accommodating. If you call ahead there is always a chair available with little to no wait. Ella prices are fair and one of the more affordable places in Newport News. Thanks again! Ella and Staff are professional, proficient, and excellent braiders. The atmosphere is very relaxing and family oriented. I called that morning and Ella worked me and my girlfriend in their schedule for the same day. She made sure I was out by time that I needed. Ella and 2 of her amazing women worked my hair style together. I didn't have to buy hair. She included hair with the price. Thank you, Ella saved the day for me . I will return! I have been going to Ella for over 15 years and I must say her service is excellent. From always being able to get an appointment (in a crunch), to prices being reasonable, shop being clean, and I’m always satisfied when leaving. She does an awesome job! If you are looking for nice, neat braids, with professional service look no further. I recently moved about 40 miles away from the shop but I still take the ride to go to get my braids done. As we know good shops are hard to find! I would give this shop 10 stars if I could!

I decided to try this shop because I was tired of spending eight hours getting braids. Ms. Ella and her sisters were really nice. I showed her a picture, and they executed it perfectly. At one point, three of them were working on my hair at once. I asked for “smedium,” but they’re lowkey giving small, which I love! I was done in just four hours. I will definitely be coming here for my braids from now on.

Ella & FAMILY were amazing. I called and asked for a Bob at 7pm all the way from North Carolina. Ella said “come early”. I was there at 7:55am the next morning. Ms. Ella the BOB is lovely. Thank you ladies very much. 💜
