I've been going to Emily's for 20+ years. I went to other places depending on what borough I lived in and was never satisfied. I will travel to come for their services. They are reliable, thoughtful experienced and works with you. They will not give you a hairstyle if it doesn't fit you or if it will damage your hair. I will remain a loyal customer forever. I love them.

THEY ARE HORRIBLE NOW!!!! I used to go here all of the time when I was younger but stopped going when I moved to Queens. I went back for the first time in years since I work in Brooklyn now and had my 5 year old daughter with me. They never said anything to me about her being with me. She was on her best behavior she wasn’t getting into anything or acting up. Fast forward two weeks later I come back to get my hair washed and was told they wouldn’t do my hair because my daughter was with me!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! If it was really that much of a big deal why wasn’t I told this the first time I came and had her with me. I love this place. Chiquita gets me right EVERY single time! I don’t go to anyone else but her. She’s amazing and I never feel rushed. She does my hair with love. 🥹 prices are reasonable for the services.

They are definitely not trained on African American hair. I have very thick hair, shoulder length. After a week later on getting it done, I just washed my hair and everything started falling out. My hair literally looks straight and brittle Plus it smells like perm. I’ve never in my life used perm in my hair So I don’t know why my hair smells like it has chemical in it. I literally feel like crying. This is my first and last time going to this place.

My usual beautician wasn't in so other chicks did my hair 2 weeks in a row . Clearly the last chick didn't want to do it. Did a horrible job. My hair was a mess before I went to sleep that night. Time to find another salon. Such a pity. I truly liked getting my hair done by Wendy there. It is conveniently located close to my home. Great prices. But I do not have patience for incompetent people. Wasting my time and money. They also don't know how to shut up for a minute or two. Smh.
