Emily's Nail Salon

Emily was training her sister to do nails, her sister shaped my nails and made the most pointed oval nails I’ve ever had. Then Emily actually did the beaded acrylic and it was very disappointing. There was a serious lack of cuticle care so one day after application they look like they’re already one week grown out. There’s also strange yellow discoloration inside the acrylic that’s extremely concerning. The black French tip was also uneven, smeared in some spots and just not the clean polished look I was hoping for. I consider nails to be a luxury splurge in my life and this was an extremely expensive waste of my money. These pictures are two days after my nail application.

I had gone to get a pedicure and a full acrylic set. they let me sit in the warm water for 15 minutes and then rushed my pedicure. the pedicure polish chipped within 3 days. the full set is a different story. there was much lack of cuticle care so my nails look grown out the day after they had been done. as emily herself was gluing the tips on, they kept falling off. the experience was very uncomfortable. my mother was getting her natural nails done beside me, emily stopped doing my nails to yell and insult the worker that was doing my mothers. as she continued to do my nails she was insulting the other workers. i had shown her an inspo picture and she got it completely wrong then continued to shame me for picking the wrong shape. the nails ended up falling off within 4 days of me getting

LOVED my experience here! Not only were the people the nicest I have ever had a nail experience with but they put time and effort into my nails! I got SNS for the first time. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they did an amazing job! They were so sweet and I LOVE my nails!!! My mom went with me and she got a French manicure, the guy who did her nails she said she has never gotten better done more precise French Manicure before!

Great experience♥️ Took my two daughters and myself for Mother’s Day, and she took great care of everyone. We all got what we wanted- if she didn’t know she made it happen asking my opinion as we went along to be sure I was satisfied. I enjoyed a glass of wine. It’s a great smaller place- not so big and overwhelmingly. Emily is very sweet. Clean. Lots of options. Attention focused on customer. And she was very sweet to boot. Highly recommend.

I had high hopes for Emily's Nail Salon, but unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected. The staff seemed rushed and not very attentive, making the whole visit feel impersonal. The nail technician barely took the time to shape my nails properly, and the polish application was sloppy, with uneven coats and polish getting on my skin. The cleanliness of the salon was also concerning. The tools didn’t seem to be sanitized properly between customers, and the overall hygiene of the space could have been much better. When I politely mentioned my concerns about the quality of my nails, the response felt dismissive rather than accommodating. For the price, I expected a much better experience and attention to detail. Sadly, I won’t be returning, as there are other salons in New Bern that
