Exhibit Salon

I had an amazing time here, I booked with Madeline and she is truly an angel! I came in very anxious based on previous experiences at other salons, but as soon as I walked in the warm and color atmosphere put me at ease almost immediately. Madeline made me feel very comfortable and walked me through everything we were going to do before starting the service and checked in with me after every step to ensure I got what I wanted. She’s truly a doll, and doesn’t pressure you into anything, she listens and asks clarifying questions. I came in for a big chop and I’m obsessed and will 100% be back again! (p.s. they have care bear cups for you to drink water 🥲 like whattttt you’re not getting that anywhere else) EDIT: it’s been a little over a month since I got my cut and I’ll say I’ve never love

I am SO SO happy with the cut I received from Madeline that days afterwards, I just had to text her that I’ve never felt as confident in my appearance as I do now and she plays such a big part in that. She shortened my layers which allowed for a fuller look but she was still able to maintain my length (which is down to my lower back!). My wispy bangs were perfect, and I received so many compliments—even from strangers at the event I attended that night! Madeline is such a good listener and you can tell she cares deeply about her clients and their satisfaction, and that she’s incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. The salon is super cute and when I arrived, I was immediately greeted, my coat hung for me, and tea brewed. I felt cared for, comfortable and cozy :)

LOVE Exhibit - it will definitely be my new go-to salon. I was looking for a place that felt truly inclusive, one where I'd be comfortable discussing a sensitive hair issue. Mags made me feel comfortable immediately and worked through the best way to handle my specific needs, giving me a style that both looked good immediately but would also grow out to suit my needs. Vibes, music, and care all check out. Love supporting an ethical, inclusive space like Exhibit.

I love Exhibit!!! Been going here for a few years now. The vibes are always warm and fun, the music is dope, the rotating art is a delight, and I always look and *feel* better after a visit. Cut and color are incredibly affordable with gratuity included —that means your stylist is being compensated fairly! Plus Mags the owner does occasional pay-what-you-can days because they understand artist/freelance life in NYC. My hair is gray in the front, but you’d never know it! the vivid colors they use are the best for my hair and last a long time.

Love Exhibit! Mags has been cutting my hair for over 3 years now. They’ve seen me through a few different experiments in style and have always guided me with care. And the vibes in the salon are awesome — great music, people laughing, lots of color.
