My wife had the best experience and was really happy with not only the outcome but her stylist Vanessa. She is very professional and a genuine pleasure to be around. It was her first time there, but Vanessa treated her like a friend that she's known for years. I would definitely recommend this salon, especially if you're looking to color your hair. She even had my wife come in a few days before to test the color and see if she was going to be happy with the results before the actual appointment.

If you’re looking for a trustworthy salon to take your hair to the next level, this is definitely the place to go. Vanessa is amazing and always does exactly what I ask for. She’s really good at matching inspiration photos. She’s honest and has years of experience. This will always be my go to salon. It’s not close to home for me but it’s definitely worth the commute!! I did a gloss with chocolate brown highlights this time and it did not disappoint at all. This is the best my hair has looked!

I've been coming to Vanessa for three years, first for a magenta ombre, then a rose gold ombre and now a honey blonde ombre. She is so skillful and careful with her clients, really taking the time to perfect the smooth transitions in her ombre and balayage application. She's honest when you ask about particular looks, the longevity of a color and other helpful things to know when coloring hair. She just opened up her own salon in November and the decor is absolutely adorable, with the pastel pink textured walls and the chic and classic chandeliers. I definitely recommend her when it comes to ombre and balayage coloring techniques.

Vanessa was extremely knowledgeable about straightening options and did a fabulous job with my keratin Brazil blowout and cut. Been looking for a new hair spot since I moved to Astoria, and am so happy I found Extraglossy!
