I usually love this spot. One time I tried getting my hair done at another braiding place and it was close to a disaster. I wasn't chancing it this time so I'm back at Fatima's. Went in yesterday for black and purple medium sized knotless boho and they were slacking on me a bit yesterday though. My hair is natural and waist length and I went in with a pack of 1B 14" human boho, and two packs of different purple shades. They only provide synthetic hair in which they provided the 1B to mix in for me. My stylist braids kind of fast but I don't think that's reason to stop braiding my head to start and complete another. There were a lot of times where the stylist stopped to do other things, aside from another braiding job, including eat which I don't mind since they work and stand long hours, b

Being a very picky customer I refused to write a review based on one good encounter. I had boho braids done in December and I loved it. In February I sent my sister and she was pleased too. Today I went back with my daughter who wanted Angel braids and I got Knotless Braids. My daughter is 8 and she is tender head. She however sat through the process and loved her beautiful hair when she saw it. I loved my braids too . I was impressed with how quickly the stylists worked and how neat the braids were. I was happy that my stylists spoke English and we could understand each other . Great customer service, Fatima was very responsive with replying to messages. The only negative for me was the Zelle option wasn’t working and there is no Apple Pay or card services. Like most of NY no parking but

I went to the Third Ave location. Was able to book an appt for today 9am yesterday. I got there 10 min early today and the ladies were so welcoming and polite and made sure they got it exactly how I wanted. I initially wanted shoulder length but it stayed mid back length. They started braiding at 9:10am and finished at 11:45am. This was the quickest I’ve gotten my hair braided and I have thick neck-shoulder length hair. I’m definitely coming back. They’re so much more pleasant than the place I normally go to.

I got two-strand twists done here two weeks ago, and the braids started coming loose almost immediately. On the very first day, two twists came out from the back. I specifically asked for knotless twists, but they did not do them knotless. Instead, they started the twists from the root, which gave the hair nothing to properly grip onto my natural hair. My appointment was scheduled for 8:00 a.m., and I was required to pay a $30 deposit to secure the spot. However, the stylist did not arrive until 8:30 a.m. When she arrived, I explained the style I was getting and reminded her that I had already paid a deposit. I booked for my 6 yr old daughter, the lovely woman who braided her hair started right at the time of my appointment that alone was amazing she took such great care of my little girl I'm in love with how her hair was done with so much love and care it was a good vibe everyone was so nice and welcoming my princess walked out looking like a million bucks! I even got my hair done aswell and we will definitely be coming back real soon. Both ladies did a wonderful job!
