Jackie gave my child a cut and style that made them feel beautiful and truly seen. After completing an extensive survey, my child got an appointment with Jackie. Along with the survey, they submitted current photos as well as photos of styles they were hoping to somewhat replicate. Jackie gave them a cut that enhances their natural curl, is easy to style just as Jackie did it, and made them feel like a million bucks!

Everyone needs to come to Fern and Moody!! I mean it!! I have never felt so accepted and loved as soon as I walked into any business before. This was my first time getting my hair done professionally. I was worried about judgement, and every single worry evaporated when I sat in Francesca's chair. The experience was great! I got my hair cut by Jackie and I'm really happy with the results and loved the atmosphere, they explained everything before, during and after the cut and taught me how to style the new look. There was also the option to have a quiet session which I thought was really great and appreciated immensely. I definitely recommend getting your hair cut here!

Highly recommend for pixies and short haircuts for fine hair. I have hopped around a few different salons in Chicago over the last 10 years and Francesca has given me my best haircut yet. My fine, straight hair shows every line, so I really need a hairstylist with skill and experience and Francesca is just that!

I am someone that’s always been very particular about their hair. Since I cut it short it’s been difficult finding the exact style that makes me comfortable directly after and in between cuts, but Jackie has been the key to making that experience happen. I went to them at the recommendation of a close friend (who’s been their client for over a decade), and I can’t believe I waited so long. While I love going in for my cut, I no longer feel antsy with the grow out, and enjoy my hair at every stage. My hair has been a massive part of my transition, and Jackie’s immense skill, understanding of gender, and attention to detail has given me so much euphoria. I cannot recommend them enough
