Chaney!! Chaney did a consult with me and then i booked an appt for my birthday cut and color. She already gave me the run down of what to expect and how long the Color was gonna stay and what I would need to do to take care of it in the meantime. when my appointment date came around, I had to unexpectedly cancel it for a death in the family and Chaney was so kind to offer to come in on a day Off and switch with another hairstylist to be able to accommodate for me, which was very kind Then during my appointment, she was very professional and also very kind and fun to spend time with since the appointment for cutting color will take a good amount of your day. I love the overall vibes at Forth so much but also I love Emiley. I’ve been coming to see her for… god, at least 5 years. I literally live in Chicago and still come back to see her in Atlanta. She is so kind, I feel very at ease in her chair, and the art she makes that I get to walk away with is so freaking cool! Plus Emiley thinks through how the color will wear and fade over time so I’m not looking crazy as it grows out. I’ve gone the range from natural to pops of vivid and even multicolored masterpieces. If you want to try some interesting color, Emiley is great at planning a version that works for you (even if you’re a little timid like me). Could not recommend booking with her enough.

Emma and Jannicke are my stylists, and they are not only incredibly talented artists but genuinely beautiful humans. I usually come in with a loose idea and let them work their magic — whether that’s a shag, shullet, mouche, or Chelsea cut — and I always leave feeling like the most expressive version of myself. Forté is a rad, queer woman-owned salon, and you feel that energy the moment you walk in. I’m always warmly welcomed, heard, and cared for. The products are thoughtful, the vibe is inclusive and creative, and yes — there’s even a adorable salon dog named Biscuit. I get compliments on my hair all the time and love sending people their way. In times like these, being in community — and investing in businesses that reflect your values — matters more than ever.

I loooved my experience here, I'll definitely be coming back regularly for trims! My stylist Chaney was super friendly and knowledgeable. I'm admittedly pretty clueless when it comes to taking care of my hair, but I was able to learn so much from her. She thoroughly explained everything she was doing, the purposes of the different hair products she used, and gave me lots of advice on how to keep my hair healthy and looking good. I wanted to change up my look with some bangs, and she taught me how she styled them step by step so I could do it myself at home. So not only did I leave with a great haircut, but I also felt more confident trying out new things to upgrade my hair routine. Thanks Chaney! <3
