Frances’s Hair Studio is truly a gem! My 6 year old daughter had her very first salon visit here for a wash, trim, and silk press, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The atmosphere had such a beautiful, ancestral energy that made me feel instantly at ease. The stylist took incredible care of my daughter, making her feel comfortable and special the entire time. Her hair looks so healthy, shiny, and beautiful—she’s absolutely thrilled, and so am I! I came into the salon with my aunt to drop her off for a hair appointment and ended up having a really uncomfortable experience. I believe the woman I encountered was named Francis — possibly the owner — and I’ve honestly never met someone so rude and unpleasant in a customer service setting. Her attitude was hateful, cold, and completely unprofessional. It’s unfortunate because the other ladies in the salon were extremely kind and welcoming, and the stylist who did my girlfriend’s hair, Tan, was amazing — she was friendly, patient, and my girlfriend absolutely loved her hair. That said, the energy and attitude coming from Francis were enough to make me never want to come back or recommend this place to anyone. yesterday was my first time going to this shop. I was extremely impress with Frances professional. She was very personable with her clients. She takes her time to listen to any concerns you have about your hair. She was honest about how I should treat my hair and she made good suggestions. I am so glad I came across her and she will Definitely be doing my hair from now on. Found this place by accident after my daughter's regular hair stylist said she couldn't get her in until much later that day. I couldn't wait that long. Called and spoke to the owner, Frances who told me to bring my daughter in, even though the sign on the door says appointment only. We got there and fell in love with the welcoming atmosphere of Frances and Kamani, the young lady that did my daughter's hair. She worked quickly but also paid attention to little details that made my daughter's hair cute and neat for school. We will definitely be back. They have affordable prices. I am new to the area and I usually go to New Beginnings natural hair salon in mount vernon but I didn’t want to travel so far so I decided to go to Frances’s hair studio. The first time I went I had a wonderful experience. The girl who washed, blew my hair out and trimmed it was great. My hair felt moisturized, she didn’t burn me with the blow dryer. The second time I did the same thing and although the price changed drastically I still had a pleasant experience. The third time I got braids and it was an amazing time I felt the real salon experience everyone was joking laughing and just having a great time and included the clients in the conversation.
