I came here recently for an acrylic removal, and I’m honestly devastated by what happened. During the process, the technician kept shaving down my nails so aggressively that the entire top layer was removed. I repeatedly told them it was painful, and while they paused for a moment, they went right back to doing the same thing on every nail. At the time, I got regular polish afterward, so I didn’t realize how bad the damage was until I took it off later. Now my nails are paper-thin, extremely sensitive, and everything I touch hurts. It’s going to take months for them to recover, and I’m so upset that this place completely ruined my nails.

I have been going to this nail salon for 2 years now and I go every two weeks spending 150-200 every two weeks. I went back today to change my nail color because I realized I didn’t like the color I got yesterday as much. I told them I would pay the difference problem. I tipped $20 yesterday and even though it felt like they are treating me differently for wanting to change my nail color I still decided to tip $15 today. In total I tipped $35 on a $65 dollar nail set. Horrible treatment specially when I have been their customer for about two years now and the first time I go back to change my nail color they treat me like this. I’ve been seeing Judy, Maggie, Linda, Wendy, Vicky & Sammy for over 6 years. I go at least 1x per month, usually twice. I’ve gotten powder, gel, builder gel, and gel x manicures and regular and gel pedicures. I’ve gotten my brows waxed and also back massages. I rarely have quality issues and when I do, it seems obvious that it is the condition of my natural nails, not the quality of the service. I have been a loyal customer to these women and I expect to be very sad if I ever move from the neighborhood.

Very disappointing. I made an appointment for a Hard Gel Fill. The staff was very unfriendly and rushed to pick a color 3 times even though I had just entered for my appointment and they didn’t give me the color book to look at. I picked chrome and within 24 hours the color had chipped off because the first nail tech did not properly apply any of the products. I went in to get this fixed and it looked much better but now less than a week later the gel polish is already chipping. A real bummer but if you get anything other than regular polish I would avoid.

Elaine is a great technician. She is so careful and will ensure the length and shape is consistent. She takes time with your nails and will listen to your needs!! This place is great, it took me so long to find one nail place in Astoria that does good dipping and extension nails!
