Genesis Hair Salon

I have never left a bad review for a salon but then again I’ve never been this upset at a haircut. My hair was about an inch past my chin and I came in to simply get it shortened up and showed the stylist a picture of the length I wanted and stated that I wanted it the same length all the way around. We started with a shampoo and she didn’t even get the soap all the way down to my scalp, basically just washed the top layer of hair. I knew I should have just left after that but I went against my better judgement and let her proceed with the cut. She gave me the impression the whole time that she did not know what she was doing. She put the cape on me and didn’t use one of those paper things that goes around your neck even though they were right there and that’s been standard at every other

I have been looking for a stylist to lighten my hair for a while but I was scared of ruining my hair or getting the wrong color. I decided to give Genesis salon a try after reading the reviews. I called and got Pina to do the job. She sat with me, listened to my concerns and gave me her suggestions. Pina did an amazing job!! I’m very happy with the results. She’ll be my hair stylist from now on.

I had my haircut and color done by Mónica and I absolutely loved it! She always listens to what I want, and she previously did a hair straightening for me that I also loved. She’s professional, kind, and very talented. The results are always exactly what I’m looking for, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend!

Marisol was so kind and helpful. I came in with a vague idea of the cut style I wanted and a picture. She helped fill in the unknowns of my idea with her experience and had such a positive, pleasant personality. Also the price for my wash and cut here was WAY more reasonable compared to a few salons I’ve visited around San Antonio. I will absolutely be coming here again!
