Customer Reviews
I typically don’t leave reviews but it feels necessary to do so now. Before booking my consultation for loc repair, I called and it was a short but very thorough conversation, she answered any questions I had and I booked my consultation right after. She welcomed me into a very clean, cozy space in her home salon and she listened to my expectations with my hair, properly evaluated everything and gave me her honest feedback. I am looking to get loc reattachment, and she advised I grow my hair out a little more before we proceed with service. This I really appreciated because you will run into people who are looking for a quick money grab and would have serviced my hair when it might’ve not been in the best condition. Except it didn’t feel like that during the consult, it felt really caring,
I had the absolute pleasure of getting my hair braided a few times by Sakeenah - she is truly gifted. From the moment I sat in the chair, I felt welcomed, comfortable, and confident that I was in the hands of an expert. Not only did she work with incredible precision and attention to detail, but she also did it with such grace and kindness. Every braid was flawless—neat, sleek, and exactly what I envisioned (if not better!). It’s rare to find someone who blends talent with such a calming, warm presence. My scalp was treated with care especially during the wash! If you’re looking for someone who values their craft and takes genuine pride in making you look and feel your best, look no further. I can’t wait to book again!
Sakeenah was so helpful!! I wanted to get a gift card for our Daughter In-law’s bday but had a very difficult time (called 6 places!) finding a stylist that offered them in the area. Sakeenah was not only helpful she was also very pleasant, professional, and efficient in processing my request. She even took the time to create a personalized gift certificate! I’m very excited for my DIL to meet her and enjoy a day of pampering! Thank you so much Sakeenah, you are the best!
I’ve been going here for 2 years and she started my locs. I had to cancel my appointment last minute(15 minutes before) this month and she told me I needed to pay the entire total of the appointment. I understand charging a little bit or even half but charging the full $85 for a service you didn’t do just so you don’t lose money even though that’s part of running a business is weird business practices. Personally I don’t think charging full price for a service you didn’t do is appropriate. Btw she does this out of her home which is cool but not cool when you are charging cancellations prices salons don’t even charge. A salon would never make you pay full price for something that you didn’t get. She does great hair but just hope you never need to cancel. I’m blessed I only had to pay $85 im
I have been wanting to start my loc journey for the 4th time, but was hesitant. I explained what didn't work and my stylist suggest trying the two strand twist because of my hair texture. NO OTHER STYLIST before made that suggestion. I sweat in my head and yesterday it was hot and my style remained! Before they were already coming out. This Queen won me over immediately after explaining my hair issue. She was very pleasant and listened to my request and concerns. She took her time and explained how my journey would go and let me know she was along for the ride. I really appreciate that so much. Most places are atleadt 4 deep and your needs are rarely met so they can get in the next head, nope not at Mack and I appreciated that. It was truly one on one service. She will also give you good
