GG African Hair Braiding

Horrible service! I asked for clean straight parts and I’m assuming the owner. I feel like I was robbed she also cut my hair at the end of the service. I am pretty sure she enjoyed playing in my face because her entire team was laughing and playing in my head as if they were moving any faster. This is embarrassing and I even lowered my expectations so that I would t be disappointed. This was my first time in 3 years getting braids and I’ll never get them again. I hate that I ever walked into this establishment. I even blended the braiding hair for her because I wanted 3 colors. That’s not even the icing on the cake. So before I got to the shop I called the day before and inquired about the colors and also called the day of because I got lost. When I walked into the shop I mentioned I calle

I went in asking for SMALL knotless box braids. This lady tried to play in my hair and then got mad when I asked to look at my hair because something felt wrong while she was braiding my hair!!!! She had an attitude problem from off the rip and then she stated that I was mad because she didn’t want to do my hair. So that goes to show she played in my hair in the first place, because if you never wanted to do my hair then why would you touch my hair?! Complete disrespect. I’ve been coming here for years but they just lost a GOOP PAYING customer!!! Yall I am a NEWARK NATIVE born and raised. Please avoid this African shop. They’ll overcharge you and play in your hair and talk about you while they’re doing your hair thinking you don’t understand. & they had the nerve to try and charge me $200

the women working there were very nice and they did a really good job on my boho knotless braids. I was there for about 8 or 9 hours but it was worth it. Unfortunately I did see some roaches while I was there so if you do go keep all your belongings with you or just leave them in the car or something

Esse had been doing my daughter and I hair for years. She is very good. Very professional 👏🏾 👌🏼. I can call anytime and always willing to work around my busy schedule.

Asked for shoulder length knotless box braids and at first she was doing them then went up too short and hair ended up being u even. I showed pictures and stated multiple times about the length. I she did what she wanted They then cut with a razor but the end result just looked choppy. So the then keep pressing me to get curly ends. I told her I don’t like that but they kept pushing and had the audacity to charge $140. I came here because of the reviews but it didn’t turn out how I asked. Going back to my old shop it’s definitely worth the wait.
