Glamour Nails

I always go to the same man. He knows what I like and does a great job. He had an injury few weeks ago and had to go to David and he didn’t do nearly a good job as the usual guy does. So glad he is back! Won’t go to anyone else but him from now on!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this nail salon for the past two years, even after moving 30 minutes away. I’ve been coming back every two weeks because of the high quality of their work. However, after my recent visit, I can no longer recommend this place. Yesterday, I went in for a pedicure and a nail removal/full set. While the pedicure was done well, I was cut deeply on my nail bed during the nail service, and I bled for the entire duration of the service. The technician provided minimal care—she sprayed alcohol on the wound and continued working. She didn’t notify the manager or do anything further to address the injury. Didn’t sanitize the tool that now was contaminated with my blood. Granted, I’m not naive, mistakes happen, provide the standard safety and sanitation protocol, move on

Today was my first time trying this salon and I have to say I love my nails. Katie did an acrylic fill in. Her work on shaping and filing the nails was detailed—that’s very important to me. The design is very pretty. The shop itself is small, just a few nail tables and pedicure chairs. Nothing fancy, but there was a lot of traffic even with other shops nearby which to me says they have a steady client base and from my experience do good work. I will be back. Update 4 months later 9/7/22—I am still a customer here and am satisfied with my nails every time. Currently David is doing my nails every two weeks and I love his precision.

I dropped in this nail shop having very low expectations and left saying to myself that Im DEFINITELY going back! I love the way my nails came out, I got my eyebrows done -they were great and my pedicure was excellent. I did this on New Year's Eve and it was just a wonderful experience and a great way to end my year. I will be traveling from the South suburb all the way to a 116th and Halsted!
