Glyn African Hair Braiding

My daughter went to get her hair braided on 11/28 with Ada. First, my daughter texts me and says they are charging her $230 for box braids. Why? Because of the length of the hair that she BROUGHT in. So, I’m still not understanding that you charged extra for hair you all don’t carry and the length. The hair was purchased somewhere else, so why charge for the length if it wasn’t from that establishment. But, the big jump in price is crazy when you tell her mid-length is $180 and waist length is $250. I’ve researched other braiders after this to see they charge no higher than $180 for box braids and they provided the hair. So, you say a discount and drop it to $230, because she brought in her own hair, but you proceeded to charge her for length of hair she brought in. Sounds like she made up

Our box braids are $180 (mid back length) Waist length is $250 (but we do offer discounts) Boho braids start from $250 We provide color 1b, 2 & 4 If you decide to bring your own hair in the price will be the same and if the hair is past mid back there will be an extra charge. She styled my hair in a ponytail so I didn't get to see exactly how the braids look till I took it down 2 days later ! My hair NEVER been this frizzy after a couple days of having braids ... she didn't braid all my real hair into the braids. The braids aren't even straight there curved 🤣 She also messed up on a couple parts & kept snatching my hair that wasn't supposed to be in the parts ! I sent pics & asked if she could fix it no reply ......

I do not recommend! I had a disappointing experience with Glyn. When I arrived for my appointment, she was not prepared, which delayed the start of my service. I got knotless braids, and unfortunately, the braids were noticeably different sizes throughout my head, which made the overall style look uneven. Additionally, the personal conversations happening in the shop were very inappropriate and unprofessional, making the environment uncomfortable. I expected a more polished and respectful experience. She was unwilling to fix the issue.

Glyn has been doing my hair and my mother and sister hair for almost 2 years. She is the sweetest and is like family to us. Glyn and her mother does an excellent job when it comes to braids and wig installs for an affordable price.
