Great Clips

I have been coming to Great Clips for 20 years and this is my worst experience. I checked in online. I received the text at 1:53 pm that my appointment would be in 15 minutes, but I still may need to wait. I arrived at 2:30 pm because of traffic. My name was no longer on the list. The lady at the check in put me at the bottom of the list. You need to give longer with Charleston traffic. Your app also should give a 30 minute notification before cancelling an appointment. For example, it should be easy for your app to text: "Your appointment will be cancelled in the next 30 minutes if you have not arrived." This simple change would keep customers from arriving to find out their appointment was cancelled. Your app programer could make that change within a day. Additional comment:

Don’t come here, switched from my usual barber to try this place since it was closer to me. Worst hack job I’ve ever gotten I asked for a simple low skin fade and ended up with a big chunk taken out on the back of my head and look like I have a bald spot now. I’ve had multiple strangers mention it to me and ask where I got my haircut because they messed it up so bad.

I've been a customer since this Great Clips opened. I typically look forward to going because of the friendly staff and short waiting time. Today, was a different experience. I arrived with three ahead of me on the online check in. Two stylists (never seen them before) were available and I was the only one waiting to have a haircut. I sat there for five minutes and watched one worker standing around and the other was meandering about in the back of the salon. I kept waiting. And then one by one the others ahead of me with the online check in arrived. I waited for another 30 minutes. Keep in mind when I checked in online I only had a 17 minute wait. When it was finally my turn, the stylist was very cold. To break the ice I asked if she was looking forward to the holidays? "I don't celebrate

I’ve been going there over 4 years. Took my son in and requested us to be cut at same time and was willing to wait and compensate extra. TJ and Salandra would not do it and their manager stood and watched the entire thing happen. The one other patron was willing to wait for us to get ours done at the same time and sorry for the awkward exchange. I’m bummed bc it’s convenient but loyal customer service is extremely lacking.

I always go to Point Hope at Great Clips even though it’s not as close to my house because they have given me perfect cuts every time I have gone there. The best cuts and the best customer service!
