Haby's African Hair Braiding

Amazing work and fast braider. Highly recommend and I will be returning customer.

I requested Pixie Braids, showed her the picture, asked tons of questions, and she said she could do it! Friendly enough, (1 Star) but NOT Professional! Some braids were thick, some thin, and all the braids were twisted, knotted, and had sharp strands of hair running down the braid in which she used a lighter to burn leaving my hair smelling burnt and hair strands looking melted! All sides were unevenly cut! It LOOKED NOTHING like the picture I showed her. In the process of taking it OUT the second I got home, I also discovered that in the back she actually bunched my hair in sections to make a single braid, where she should have made four or five! What a RIP OFF!No Integrity or pride in her work! Haby is all about the $$$, Go somewhere else!

Firstly, I was thrown off when I realized that this was someone's house and not an actual building/salon. That's my fault for looking further. It's in a good neighborhood, so I didn't stress it too much. Secondly, the first thing the lady said to me was, "why didn't you wash before you came?". I've never scheduled a hair appointment and been told to wash my hair before appointment. I had to be dropped off so I couldn't just get up and leave, but I would've if I could've. (She did wash it though) Lastly, she was a bit rough. I will admit that I hadn't had a retwist in 2 months, so I couldn't expect it to be a gentle sit. As someone said, she didn't seem to want to be there, so it was uncomfortable. End result was great, but I will not reschedule.

I called Haby after a cancellation and she and her team braided my hair the same day. I asked for small/medium knotless, they completed my hair within 5.5 hours. I wish I could leave more than five stars, my experience was great from beginning until the end. I will be returning!
