Hair Bar NYC Midtown

Jennifer has done my blowout with extensions both times I have recently been in New York and I could not be more pleased with the result. I hope she will one day soon move to South Florida so she can do my hair on a regular basis. She is the BEST! She did my hair for a podcast I recently went on and it looks SO GOOD. If you’re traveling to New York and want to get a premium blowout, see Jennifer - 10/10 would recommend.

This was my first time at Hair Bar and I had such a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and gorgeous on top of that! I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer, and she was amazing. She was so articulate, took her time with my blowout, and made sure everything turned out perfectly. If you’re visiting the Midtown location, definitely ask for her. She’s truly beautiful inside and out, and so much fun to talk to. I’ll definitely be back!

Great spot. The owner and Jennifer are really nice and attentive. They want to make sure you’re happy with your results. I have very curly hair and I was able to work with them To find a keratin solution for smooth, frizz free curls. My hair would never get straight from blow drying alone and would take so long. Now I can blow it out in less than 15 mins. Would definitely come back, especially with Jennifer as my stylist!

I was in NYC for 8 days and make 2 appts before I arrived. The first appt was for a blowout and it was above average and worth the price. I cannot remember the name of the stylist. The second appt was for a color (root touch up) and blowout with Jennifer which was an absolute disaster. When I left the salon, I did not notice the issue until I returned to the hotel. I had deep black color bleeding onto my face so I took a shower at the hotel and washed my hair 3 times. The attached photo is the the color after the shower - I did not take a photo beforehand which I regret. There is color around my entire hairline and even on my ears! That night, I went to Nordstroms to buy makeup and skincare and while the makeup artist was applying the makeup, she was shocked by the color around my face and

Normally I don't leave bad reviews but the stylist working on me clearly didn't know how to work on textured and curly hair. She didn't use enough product and also burned my scalp with the flat iron multiple times. I can usually forgive one or two accidentals, she did it so many times I lost count. Even after bringing to her attention. I won't be returning
