I had already written a review, but wanted to do an updated version. So I’m completely starting with a new one bc my last one was a bit long. To make a long story short, this was my second visit. Even though I loved what she had done per my request, I wanted to see if I could change the look. Needless to say I had no idea that I wanted the ombré with balayage look. After showing her the example hair on my phone, SHE DID HER MAGIC! I didn’t know if she would be able to bc I couldn’t find anyone who wanted to touch my Asian hair and make it blonde. After going to high end salons throughout the DC area (and leaving disappointed and spending way too much) I finally found Melia! 🙌 I’ve been going to Melia for the past 5 years. It was a no brainer to follow her when she opened her own salon in her home. Her salon is so inviting and cozy. She is so incredible and precise with color and cut. (I’m a blonde, she understands which shades compliment my skin tone). She is an absolute professional and takes care of you 100%. I always leave looking and feeling my best! I will never let anyone else touch my hair - Melia is the only one. In 2021, I moved to the DC area and was extremely nervous to try a new hair stylist. No one had ever really listened to my concerns and I always left the salon a little bummed (aka crying in the car). It's a lot of money to not like something that will be on your head for months!!
