Hair City Inc

I’m not too familiar with wig/hair places. I just know that I want to have fun, play around and I want to have something to help me out on days I feel like my hair is holding me back. Found this place randomly. Talk about tons and tons of options. I’m not used To sewing so I needed pieces with clips already In them. The options there were more limited. The girls were super helpful. They helped me Find the right color and showed me More Options. Go here and check It out!!

This hair store is not the best to shop at. It’s very crowded and cramped and it’s hard to move around if the store has more than a few customers. The staff is not professional and they just point from behind the counter if you ask for something. They are super engaged on their personal cell phones. They do not grant a refund even if you have the receipt and the product has not been opened. The sign that states this policy is not in plain sight. You need to practice caution before shopping here! They are also over priced. They are about 3-4$ higher than the normal stores. I will stick to going to Hartford for my products. The staff also dresses however they want. 0/10 will never recommend this store and it’s sad because it’s the only one really in new Britain. And I think it’s crazy that t

The store itself is nice, however small with limited selection and very expensive. I bought a few things that I was looking for but not interested in returning.

They like to close the store before the hours listed online. I go here often because it's like the only hair store out here, but I'll go elsewhere. I had just spent $54 here earlier in the day and returned to get something for my daughter. We arrived at 6:50 and I knew exactly what I was grabbing... we were able to open the door and walk in but as we walked down the aisle, they turned the lights off. It wasn't 7pm yet and why let us in the store just to be rude and shut the lights off. See us walk in, didn't say anything at all but shut the lights off. And the owner is quite rude on a regular basis. I'm all set.

Nope. Of the few times I've had to go there, only one salesperson (young African American Sister) was even operating with a high level of service. She was helpful and kind. Im sorry i didn't get her name because everyone else was blatantly rude, bordering on hostile and staes you down like they can't wait for you to pocket their cheap assed makeup. Its a shame that the only other hair store in town is Sally's and they just don't carry a lot of the products people of color use regularly.
