Booked a deluxe blowout with Rhonda based on the reviews. She was cool and polite, but the interaction pretty much started and ended with “Hi, my name is Rhonda.” I don’t mind a quiet appointment at all, but for a first visit, a little communication about the service or expectations would’ve been nice. The “deluxe” blowout was extremely basic. It was a shampoo, a very quick conditioner that barely sat on my hair, and a blow dry using an old-school comb. No round brush, no styling, no real finish. Based on the description, I expected brush styling or at least some effort to smooth and polish the hair. My haircut experience was great. She did wonderful job and gave me some great tips. She was very polite and friendly. She also recommended a shampoo and conditioner because I have very dry hair, so I bought it. I will definitely come back to see her again.

Horrible service! If I could give multiple zeros I would. The Store Manager Nyjia told me that a customer cannot sit inside the store to wait and see if another client canceled because I complained multiple times before on her Assistant Manager. Never in my life have I been treated so disrespectfully by a business I pay good money for services. Never going back to a Hair Cuttery again! I pay good money and expect the same service in Maryland that I get in Virginia. People cannot be treated like second class citizens in black neighborhoods and this is why I would rather travel across the bridge than go to this salon where everyone is treated with respect and we can wait in the lobby without being harassed.
