Hair Expectations

Regardless of what the treatment was supposed to do, my curl pattern did change. Even if it’s meant to wash out in two months, my curls are not the same as before. I know my own hair, and the difference is obvious. I didn’t realize it sooner because every time I went, my hair was styled with rollers and a blow dryer. I wasn’t wearing it naturally curly, so I couldn’t see how much the treatment had relaxed my curls until later. I normally don’t write reviews, but I want to warn anyone with curly hair. In November 2024, I came to Hair Expectations for a simple hair color. The owner recommended a “Botox-type” treatment and described it only as something that would hydrate and soften my curls. Lovely place! I took my elderly father for a haircut and the stylist was patient and did a great job! My dad was very pleased and so was I. Will be taking him again very soon!

Love this salon! It's been my go to dominican Salon since I moved to Yonkers 10 years ago. They understand my hair type and it always comes out amazing! Jessica the owner is fantastic and treats my mom and I like family. I don't trust just anyone with my hair but we go to Hair Expectations for all of our special occasions and when we just want to treat ourselves. The girls there always hook us up and make us look and feel beautiful. We always have a great experience 10/10 would recommend anyone get their hair done here, they know what they're doing and you'll have a great time too!

This place has been my go to for my hairstyling needs. Big Jess been cutting and highlighting my hair for the past 5 years and her hands are magic! I've received so many compliments throughout the years that I've recommended quite a few people to her, some who have even continued to go to her as well! Also, Josie is my personal go to for up dos for those special events! Great place and very accommodating with quick service. They honor your appointment times and you're not staying in the salon all day doing your hair.
