Hair Headquarters

My first ever google review because I am a taker, not a giver, but Hair Headquarters is too amazing to gatekeep. Writing this after my second visit cause they passed all the tests with flying colors. Bevis Ed and Merlyn provide the best salon and hair color experience (and I say this as a jaded New Yorker who grew up on Manhattan and has gone to every type of hair salon from low to high-end between SoHo and Singapore.) For $280, you’ll get a head of hair that looks like it cost $8-900. Incidentally, $8-900 is what my best friend paid for a decade to get an inferior color job from another salon. She’s my personal hair icon and she has since gone to Bevis Ed twice too for foilyalage (sp?). The salon itself is pretty barebones but it’s clean and Ed’s work is what we come for. He somehow gives

This is hands down the best place to get your hair done. I’ve been coming here for like 15 years and have never been disappointed. I don’t even dare to go anywhere else. I’ve gotten everything from a simple trim, to color and styling - my hair always comes out perfectly. Merilyn and Bevis are the kindest people you will ever meet. You feel at home when you’re there. You also can’t get your hair done for this price anywhere else! I could not recommend this more!

I’ve been coming here for about 3 years and honestly love this place. Everyone is super friendly and they always do such a great job. I always leave happy with my hair and the vibe is really comfortable, my friend always said why u finish in NYC not the cheaper place, it’s nothing about the price (but they have great price too) Definitely my go-to salon! I’ve had wonderful experience with the team, especially Ed, for hair highlighting, coloring, haircut, etc. Ed did my Balayage and the color is still pure and beautiful after one full year! Ed and Merlyn are kind, caring, with excellent expertise. Highly recommended!

Ed has been my stylist for 10+ years now. I’ve followed him all across downtown bc the man is amazing. He is on point and meticulous. He truly is passionate about his work. He is a genius with hair colors and has always managed to get my jet black Asian hair to whatever I fancied. I’ve moved out the city but still come in just to get my hair cut by him. The salon is nice and laid back. Everyone there is so nice and friendly. Give the place a try. You won’t regret it!
