After 5 years of searching and disappointment, I finally found my blonde hairstylist! (And everything in between- Martha Ellen I trust you with my LIFE) I’m truly in love with the mirror all thanks to Martha Ellen and Anais. I had gotten a haircuts done by Anais who did such a wonderful job and a partial of highlights done by Martha Ellen. It’s been so difficult for me to find someone who truly understands my vision, and who takes preventative measures to avoid damage when it comes to bleaching my hair. My initial impression of the salon was impeccable customer service and overwhelmingly warm vibes. This started with the introductory phone call and carried through every interaction—with Martha (Owner), Andrew (Reception), and especially with Sarah (Stylist). The entire team exudes positive energy. Sarah was incredibly welcoming and patient, taking the time to offer the best options for my needs. She expertly revived my pixie cut and color, and her product recommendations for my routine maintenance were spot-on. This experience was definitely worth the price. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

What a gem!! I’m so glad I was able to get my hair dyed here. My stylist, Kamie, really knew what she was doing, took great care with my curls and the color and style came out exactly how I imagined it! Couldn’t have been a better experience, and I look forward to coming back!

Updated to inform that Jackie moved and is no longer at this salon. My first experience at Headchop was a good one. The salon is located in a cozy nook, at the garden level. The space itself is unique, with a homey, eclectic vibe. When I moved to NYC from Chicago this past summer, I knew that I would need to find a great colorist. I had been seeing a colorist for a few years in Chicago and he recommended Jackie. Jackie has colored, cut and styled my hair on two occasions. She gave me two different shades of warm, vibrant brown and I was happy both times! Jackie is great at her craft, highly knowledgeable and skilled at both color and cut.
