Heavenly Spa at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa

The area was great, the hotel was ok. I booked on a spa promotion, but it was basically click bait & they wanted to charge you extra for it at the hotel. The rooms are nice. Tub safety bar is useless, because it doesn't help you get in or out if you need it - so be careful if you have balance issues because the tub is slippery. It was definitely a workout being on the top floor to go to the beach because the elevator on that end of the hotel was not working so you had to use the stairs. The reservation clerk was snotty, but we do appreciate that it was busy & Christmas Holiday. The view of the ocean is ok, but there is so much mechanical noise from the hotel you can't hear the waves.

First time to Hilton Head and it did not disappoint. The area is beautiful, the beaches were pristine and for our visit the end of February, overall quiet. I am sure come spring break and summer, this is packed. The hotel was very nice. Loved the gift shop and dining options. The grounds are beautiful and easy to get around. I was there for a conference and even the dining room was accommodating for the late night guests. Thank you!! In order to be seated, we ended up sharing a table with an unknown conference guest but it was a lovely dinner conversation and experience. We loved in room dining and one morning did a pick up order from the restaurant. Housekeeping was very sweet and friendly and easy to get new towels one day and tidy up the room the next. This spa is very dated, and the overall experience was underwhelming. The women’s lounge did not have hot water available for tea; despite asking twice, the issue was never addressed. As an island resident, I was hoping for a much more positive experience so I could confidently recommend the spa to visiting guests, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The front desk reception staff displayed very poor customer service. The attendant who provided the tour of the facilities came across as though she was doing me a favor rather than welcoming a guest. My husband had a similarly disappointing experience when purchasing a gift certificate, which suggests this is a broader service issue rather than an isolated incident. For a spa at a major hotel, this experience fell well below expectation

My husband and I booked the Blissful Babymoon Getaway Package, which included a 'Pea in the Pod' 50min massage. If you're looking for a great resort-like feel with great amenities and amazing prenatal massage, look no further! I arrived a little early to my massage and was greeted by the sweetest receptionist who gave me a tour of the spa + locker room areas. Everything was super clean and updated, perfect way to settle in for a massage. My massage therapist, Stephanie L., was great! She was able to adjust some of the massages to make sure that I was super comfortable and relaxed. This has definitely been the best prenatal massage I've ever gotten and I felt so relaxed and renewed after.

My husband and I absolutely love the Westin Resort. I tried the spa for the first time and it wasn’t quite what I was expecting for being at the Westin. The amenities aren’t great compared to other spas I’ve been too. The sauna and jacuzzi room were just okay. It felt outdated. Towards the end of my massage when working on my arms and legs something on the therapist kept scratching me really hard. The scratches were red and raised when I first left the room. I was going to say something upon checkout but took my time getting ready and the redness was almost gone by the time I checked out. Later that night one of the scratches felt like it was on fire. Luckily by morning it felt much better. Not the relaxing experience I was hoping for.
