my esthetician really tried to make my experience better however I could not get past the overall frustration that i had from the beginning. As someone who has normally gotten facials in a private, relaxing area I was open to the layout of this spa. However, it was almost nothing that makes getting a facial worth it. there was no sense of education towards skin care that i’ve seen advertised. my usage of retinal was an issue which I had previously stated in my client information along with the rest of my routine and products. They stated that because of this, they could not do certain aspects of what a normal facial would look like even though days had passed since i used any retinal product. While I liked my aesthetician on a personal level, my 60-minute facial plus booster that I paid for ended up being only 40 minutes (including 5-10 minutes of consultation and 15 minutes of a mask). So really only 15 minutes I was being "worked on". I was told I couldn't be given a booster because my "skin was compromised" and that they would put a note on my account for next time. However, with this experience I don't think I will return. I was very upset when I paid the almost $150 and walked out.

I decided to try Hi, skin because they had a first time discount. The aesthetician was very pleasant, but the experience was quite mediocre. The treatment space is all one room, with chairs around the perimeter like a hair salon. It is not set up like most spas where you have a private space. You do not remove your top as you typically do, so your neck and décolletage go untreated. I asked my aesthetician to bring the creams/masks/serums onto my neck, but she could only go so far because I was still fully clothed and the position of the chair didn’t allow full exposure of my neck. They did not inform me that I should cease using retinol 5-7 days in advance. If that is recommended, they should say it upfront. I expected a relaxing, therapeutic facial experience. What I got felt rushed and minimal. This felt less like a facial and more like a quick enzyme treatment with LED therapy. For $138 after tax, I expected actual hands-on work, relaxation, and that "personalized" experience advertised. I just had the best facial today with Jasmine! and I’m still glowing—literally and figuratively! She was so sweet, down-to-earth, and made me feel totally comfortable the whole time. She really took her time to explain what she was doing, gave me super helpful feedback about my skin, and answered all my questions like a total pro. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and loves what she does. My skin feels refreshed, hydrated, and happy—my next appointment is already booked!
