Hollywood Nails

Engagement Photo Nails nightmare! This place use to be our go to place but it is just unreliable my mom and I went and both asked for the almost identical things french tip with our natural nails, short, and a slight rounded edge. I told my guy that he preceded to cut my nails to the nail bed and start to put acrylic when I stated I wanted gel. Instead of apologizing he said oh well you have to do acrylic nails even though I wrote down and told him gel. I asked is there anything else I can get to lengthen my nails because I hate the effects of acrylic he said no. So I was stuck getting acrylic. Then he proceeded to shape my nails and I said that is not the shape I wanted and he said just wait, just wait till the end. So I did and I hated them. So when I went over to look at my mom’s nails

I went for my first gel set. The older gentleman that was there serviced me for a gel set. He cut me numerous times when grinding my nails, my fingers burned the whole time, and he made my left pointer finger bleed. Less than 8 hours after I got my nails done, they were in pain and everything involving my hands were met with discomfort and hard pressure. The pain got so bad, I had to cut them off with giant dog clippers to even chip them off. I have to now get them off and treat them for possible infection. (Feat: before and after clipping them off)

I’ve gone here several times. I’ve always like how my nails looked. But today they are awful!!! Literally look like a first grader did them. The fourth pic is what I showed them. Because the pic is someone else’s work, I never expect it to look EXACTLY like the pics. But this looks nothing like it. The tips aren’t even evenly round. And the glitter top coat is bad. Finding a salon or something to start going to from now on.

This place is a bigger miss than a hit. My mother in law & I liked to go when we were out, and she likes to support the business, but I’ve had a horrible experience every time. I’m unfortunately not one to say something when it happens a lot, though I should. Their practice is horrible when it comes to hygiene. Doesn’t seem like they clean their tools or stations enough. I understand being a non-appointment business and people coming in and out, but it comes to a point where you feel gross sitting at the table and them rushing to brush things off or not use proper hygiene in between. I usually get my (finger) nails done there; have dealt with them not pushing my cuticles back, making the acrylic & gel look so bulky and terrible looking, or just plainly using nasty looking tools. I asked for a pedicure I picked the one that was 50$ it was great but when I went to pay they charges me 68$ then asked for a tip. When I asked about pricing they were offended and had more of then come up to explain. I wad simply asking how did it go from 50 to 68$. That's not just taxes!!! When I got closer to my feet that looked absolutely horrible my 6 yr old can do better. It was all on my skin and it's gel so ad soon as air gets under it they will start coming off.
