Customer Reviews
Mixed reviews about this spot. I love the atmosphere and the stylists are really kind, but I don't think they should offer straightening services. I got my hair straightened there yesterday and they don't use any heat protectant, which was alarming to me -- I am hoping and praying my curls come back... And a mere hours after they straightened my hair, the middle of my hair started to frizz -- likely because they used no hair spray, finishing product or anything to preserve the style. Definitely not worth the $200 price tag. I may give them another try for a natural style, but definitely never again for a blowout or straight style. I'm so disappointed.
I really was hoping to love this place. Lately I’ve been having an extremely hard time finding what works for my hair - styles and product. It seems to hate everything I do to it. So of course I was pulled in by the ‘Maintain the beauty of your natural hair without compromising your texture’ bit on their page. The studio is lovely and the staff are fine however service has way below my expectations especially for the price point. Since I’ve been struggling with my hair and most stylists rip through it whenever I get any style I added on the honeycomb detangling. I left wondering if the ‘gentle hair comb out’ was ever in the room with us. My stylist basically just brushed through it… with no difference in technique compared to the girl next to me who only got the blow dry service without an
Super disappointed ☹️ This was supposed to be a treat to self. The hair stylist didn't even ask how I was doing nor did she introduce herself as the person who would be working with me. I told her I needed a trim upon arrival. When she spoke to me, it was always commenting on my ends and how they needed to be trimmed and they were damay. I left the place without her trimming my ends. I was so ready to go that I didn't even point out that I asked for a trim. She was obviously having a bad day and allowed her personal issues to impact her professional work. And she expected me to give her a tip. Tip: be pleasant and welcoming to new clients.
I had scheduled an appointment with my regular stylist, but was reassigned to a different stylist the day prior to my appointment because my stylist had no other clients scheduled. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the service I received from the new stylist. This was especially frustrating given that my original stylist was aware I was preparing for a special event. I am deeply disappointed by this experience, and the lack of empathy demonstrated during my subsequent phone conversation was equally disheartening. I strongly discourage supporting a business that feels comfortable canceling appointments with such short notice. When I expressed my concerns, the person I spoke with did not consider this a cancellation because "they offered me another stylist." However, when a client spec
Full disclosure: My visit was not recent and their practices could have changed in the past few years. However this was one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had and I don't believe their stylists had enough training at that time. I received the "Spoiled" (a hot oil treatment), the "Snip Snip" (a trim), and a "Straight Ahead" (classic flat iron). ZERO products were put on my hair after the hot oil treatment was washed out and I left the salon looking like a child had done my hair. My hair immediately frizzed up and the curls started reverting within two hours. This was at the end of September, so why they wouldn't even use an anti-humidity spray when straightening a client's hair is beyond me. This was the first time I ever had my hair straightened and I didn't know enough to quest
