These ladies are absolutely amazing. I am not from here so I was a lil sketchy on taking a chance with people I didn't know but I'm glad I took the chance cause I was not disappointed. As matter of fact I live in oklahoma but when I get my hair done I will be making the trip to milwaukee for all my hair needs. They went above and beyond and then some. They make u feel comfortable from the very second u walk in their door. Karla (the owner) is absolutely beautiful inside and out, she's so spunky and full of life truly an inspiration! Myla, my stylist, I was nervous cause she's young but let me tell u her ability is as good if not better then anyone I have ever been to before. I chose iLLustria Salon for my bridal hair and makeup this summer. Karla and her staff are a hoot! They are all lively and talented and I am very glad I found them. Karla and her team offer off-site services which was so amazing to get our hair done in my bridal suite closer the wedding ceremony venue. They are very prompt and brought all of the salon products they could possibly need. Karla always take cares of the bride and she transformed my not-so-full, fine, blonde hair into a voluptuous updo. She also did my makeup which was perfect and she makes you feel very comfortable around her, welcomes feedback - lighter on the eyes, more contouring, etc... I want to tell everyone about my experience at THE ILLUSTRIA. I decided to go gray and it was a big deal to me. Reluctantly, I would show my age, but coloring it monthly was not good for my hair. After arriving early, nerves almost sent me running. Then, Kelsi arrived. She seemed to understood my heart and concern. She colored my hair and did a beautiful job. She used my nature colors, brownish in the lower back and my new color coming in at the roots on top and around my face. Then she blended them in a biolage. I've been seeing my stylist Marissa here for a couple of years and I always have a fun, wonderful experience. The whole crew works in tandem, helping each other and creating a first class experience for the clients. I have very long hair and they use only the most gentle products and techniques. Regardless of hair type, they know what they are doing and have low, competitive pricing.
