Imas Dominican Hair Salon

I really did not want to have to rate this salon. But it popped up while I was on my phone. I really don’t like giving bad ratings but I have to be truthful. Good news first I have to give the salon at least a 2 because of the cleanliness of the salon. Very clean and organized salon. Otherwise, it would have been a 1. First initial response of the stylist at her home salon is. When I told her I was looking for a Dominican Salon near me. By the way she was only a few minutes away from my residence so I wanted to see the good in the business. Her first words were sarcastic ( “ I am not Dominican, I am Italian and Cuban”) . I was very pleased and happy with my first hair experience with Ima. She took time to listen to what I wanted and she gave me the cut I so desperately needed. After going through alopecia last year, I didn’t cut my hair for a year to let it grow out. It was so long and overwhelming. I found Imas Dominican hair salon and pondered on going for a while. So glad I went and will be back! I feel like a new person. Really. My layers are light and airy and I feel younger. She’s very blessed!

Imas salon is super clean and has a really good vibe overall! Great music playing & such a relaxing environment. Ima has the most amazing personality 💕 she’s so welcoming and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. You can tell she’s truly loves what she does. My hair looks and feels amazing, and for the first time in a long time, my scalp actually feels healthy!! Before I found her salon, my head used to itch constantly, but ever since Ima started doing my hair, I haven’t had ANY itching at all. She really blessed my scalp and brought it back to life🥹 I’m so thankful and I will only be going here from now on for my hair needs! Just FYI: the salon is by appointment only, so make sure to call ahead to book. It was super easy to do with her over the phone. Highly recommend!

She is absolutely the best! Someone else chopped my layers terribly and Ima did such a beautiful job fixing it and didn’t make me feel like I was a burden with all the hair I have.

I love the way Imas silk press my hair and my daughter’s hair.My daughter has 4c hair and always wants her blow outs straight at the roots and Imas does an amazing job straightening out her roots.
