James Joseph Salon

I've been coming to James Joseph salon in Medford since 2021. I first started going to James Joseph salon for blowouts since my office was nearby. I was randomly put with Ashley J for my first blowout appointment, her Kindness, attention to detail, and the way she made me feel comfortable in the chair was unmatched. I left my previous stylist and went with Ashley J since 2021. I've seen her religiously since then every 10 to 12 weeks. Whether I wanna do a full blonde balayage, Or highlights with money pieces in the front her skill is unmatched. There is never The pressure to do something else, add an additional service or purchase supplies. Absolutely amazing experience at this salon today. Megan was so sweet and knowledgeable. Finally booked a cut that I've been dreading as I've lost some hair and it's very brittle due to covid. She was so understanding and gave me great advice to try out to strengthen my hair moving forward. My hair looks so much better than it did going in and I'm feeling much more confident! Didn't think it was possible but I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment! ^_^

I got my hair coloring done by Ashley J. I went into my appointment asking for a dark brown balayage with pictures of the exact color. I instead got a blonde/orange balayage so I asked her to correct it. During the correction process, she rushed through and my hair was left red at the top and blonde at the bottoms. I was charged $310 for the balayage & color melt on collar bone length hair. I paid this because I was being rushed out, but it is sad that I had to pay full price for extremely subpar results.

Ashley J. is the best hairdresser I’ve had in my life and I wouldn’t go to anyone else! Cuts, color, and everything in between is 10/10

My hair care routine is pretty low key but I always have such a good experience at this James Joseph location. I just saw Mariela for the first time for glaze/ blow dry and had to share that this is honestly the best blow dry I've had (ever)! She graciously fit me in as a walk-in on a busy Saturday and was so welcoming and kind. My hair looks gorgeous. Cannot wait for my next cut/ treatment with her. The people at the front desk are also always very welcoming too, just such an overall positive experience.
