JCPenney Salon

I was traveling to Columbia for an event. I made an appointment one week in advance to have my hair done, i also called three days before, to confirm the appointment. I went to the salon for the appointment, just hours before my event, and the salon was closed due to plumbing issues. They did not call me to cancel. I had to scramble to find another salon to do my hair at the last minute. Very unprofessional! I definitely would not recommend this salon.

This is the worst salon that I have ever attended. the stylist left me in the shampoo area for 47 minutes . No one checked on me at all during that time. She told me that she would be back in 6 minutes. Finally the manager asked if she could help me . I was so ready to leave . I even tried to rinse the 20minute treatment out of my hair because the stylist left it in for 1 hour and 17 minutes. The manager tried to finish the hair style . The result was terrible. They were ghetto and very unprofessional. The stylist did not even care. I would never recommend this salon , not even to a dog.

If I could give it a 0 I would. I will never go back to this salon. Dre is HORRIBLE and extremely unprofessional. I had a 3pm appointment to which I arrived at 2:50pm. He came up front about 3:20 to let me know he was going to fit me in. How is that when I had an appointment! I was not a walk in. I waited for an hour without even having my hair started. Still up front I left. As I was driving I decided to call and the stylist on the phone let me know that he wasn't in the salon as he had to go out and get color since he messed up someone's color. I asked to speak to the manager apparently there isn't one since she's on leave right now. Someone owes me for my wasted time and gas since I drove 30 minutes to literally sit in the lobby and not be attended to.

I've been here twice and both times I couldn't have been happier. I originally came here after I had made them or appointments with one of the " high class salons" and they kept canceling my appointments without any warning. I finally made an appointment at the salon at JCPenney, to be honest, out of desperation. But my first appointment was wonderful. When it was time for another appointment I came back. There was a slight snafu with my scheduling but once that was cleared up I couldn't have been happier with my hair. I know a lot of people don't like salons in stores, and I get that, but give them a try. They took wonderful care of my hair and taught me quite a bit about how to keep it looking good.

I had missed my normal salon appointment and couldn’t wait a few more months for a cut, so I made an appointment with JC Penny salon online the night before. My appointment was at 2:00 and my daughters was at 2:30, with two different stylists. We arrived a few minutes early and waited for 10 minutes at the front desk before being greeted. No big deal in the scheme of things. We sat down and waited. The stylist took my daughter back on time but had to ask someone how to cut her hair. She then went back for a wash and didn’t come back out for over 45 minutes. They did something to her hair and left her under the dryer forever. It didn’t even dry. She then got a rinse on her hair and moved to her chair for a cut. She again, had to get directions on how to cut it. It took from 2:30 until after
