Jennifer Hair Braiding

From the moment I reached out for an appointment to appointment day, Jennifer's communication was on point. I hate that I forgot the young lady who did my hair but she did it EXACTLY how I wanted! I don't know how, but she was FAST too. Not too much product (didn't even have to mention that part). I'm not tender-headed but she still wasn't hard on my head. Loved the environment! I grew up on African Hair Braiding shops in NYC. I started going to the girlies who are more so at home braiders when I left NYC, but unfortunately they aren't reliable and unprofessional...even with a paid deposit. My birthday is coming up and I'm new to VB....low and behold, I was canceled on by a home braider 🤦🏽‍♀️. I don't braid my hair much but while I am here, Jennifer's shop will be where I will go!

My experience was so delightful! Becky was my braider and she did a great job.. I have short hair and was able to execute the style that I wanted (small box braids with box parts) I left the chair super excited. Her work was clean and neat !! I will be back to see her again. I will be recommending my friend and family to her!! Thank you so much for making me feel beautiful I had no hope that anyone could braid my short hair! Thank you again !!!!

Let me start by saying, I should’ve posted a 5 Star review prior to today from my prior 2 or 3 great sew in experiences ( see pictures ) to say the quality work & service was an A plus..THEN 🥺. I decided to get my 1st & last Singlease Twist due to NOT ONLY the poor quality the lady she allowed to do my hair only in the back. Resulting in the lost of two braids within the 1st 10 days ( see pictures of the back of my head) old picture Jennifer did the front only. Two completely different work qualities. The issue here is not only how her employee did a poor job & the fact that the technician who serviced the back of my head was 1 hour late arriving after my appointment 😒, but several things.. like Jennifer allowing me to leave day one with out inspecting her work. Was visiting on vacation and scouted some braiding shops. So glad i landed on this one. I was looking for senegalese twist. I found that there are several shops in the virginia beach area that can accommodate quickly, and most gave comparable quotes, but what made jennifer stand out was her responsiveness to quoting me all the way to scheduling and apt adjustments via text. I had senegalese twist once years before and kept only for 2 weeks because they were uncomfortable and bulky. But i decided to try again this year , but maybe have someone install a different size - i really thought this was gonna be the solution- i was wrong. I was supposed to get a mohawk type style and there are sooooo many braids in this little patch of hair on my head! A poney tail is practically impossible!!! In addition to the excessive amounts of braids they are larger than I requested! I specifically asked for small braids over the phone and when I got there! I showed 2 different pictures but still these braids are medium size at best! I feel as though my $200 was wasted! Signed, Disappointed!!!
